Spider Web Coasters for Halloween

Step-by-step instructions
Center
- Magic ring (or 3 chains joined with 1 sl st).
- Round 1: 6 sc inside the ring. Close with a sl st in the first sc.

Round 2: 3 ch (counts as 1 dc) + 1 ch + 1 dc + 2 ch all in the same stitch. Repeat the sequence [1 dc + 1 ch + 1 dc + 2 ch] in each stitch.
You will have 6 groups of “2 dc + 2 ch”.
Close with a sl st in the 3rd initial chain.

- Round 3: In each gap between the 2 dc from the previous round, knit: 1 dc + 1 ch + 1 dc + 4 ch in the same gap (the 1st dc will be the 3 ch in height)
- Round 4: In each space between the 2 dc from the previous round, knit: 1 dc + 1 ch + 1 dc + 6 ch , all in the same space.
- Lap 5 : In each space between the 2 dc from the previous row, knit: 1 dc + 1 ch + 1 dc + 8 ch , all in the same space.
- Round 6 : In each space between the 2 dc from the previous round, work: 1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc . Then, work 8 sc over the ch 8 from the previous round. Repeat these steps to the end of the round.
Close with sl st and hide the thread.

- Steam lock the coaster so it lies flat.
- If you want more rigidity, spray a little starch or textile starch.
- Combine several colors (white, gray, black, gold) for a modern and elegant outfit.
