Spider Web Coasters for Halloween

Step-by-step instructions
Center
- Magic ring (or 3 chains joined with 1 sl st).
- Round 1: 6 sc in the ring. Close with a sl st to the first sc.

Round 2: 3 ch (counts as 1 dc) + 1 ch + 1 dc + 2 ch all in the same stitch. Repeat the sequence [1 dc + 1 ch + 1 dc + 2 ch] in each stitch.
You will have 6 groups of “2 dc + 2 ch”.
Close with a rp in the 3rd initial chain.

- Round 3: In each space between the 2 dc of the previous round, work: 1 dc + 1 ch + 1 dc + 4 ch in the same space (the 1st dc will be the 3 ch of height)
- Round 4: In each gap between the 2 dc of the previous round, crochet: 1 dc + 1 ch + 1 dc + 6 ch , all in the same gap.
- Lap 5 : In each gap between the 2 dc of the previous round, crochet: 1 dc + 1 ch + 1 dc + 8 ch , all in the same gap.
- Round 6 : In each space between the 2 dc of the previous round, work: 1 sc, 3 ch, 1 sc . Then, work 8 sc over the 8 ch of the previous round. Repeat these steps to the end of the round.
Close with pr and hide the strand.

- Block the coaster with steam to make it lie flat.
