💚 Step-by-step instructions

🔸 Base

• Work 20 chain stitches + 2 more to turn (these 2 do not count as a stitch).

🔸 Round 1

• 1 double crochet in the 3rd chain stitch from the hook,
• 1 double crochet in each chain stitch to the end.
  → 20 double crochet stitches.
  Turn.

🔸 Round 2

• 2 chain stitches (equivalent to 1 double crochet).
• 1 double crochet, 1 chain stitch, skip 1 stitch. Repeat around.
  → Finish with 1 double crochet in the last stitch.
  Turn.

(This is the round that creates the openwork.)

• 2 chain stitches.
• 1 double crochet in each stitch and each chain space from the previous round.
  → One double crochet round.

🔸 Repeat the pattern:

Repeat rounds 2 and 3 until reaching 100 cm (or the desired length).
