Step-by-step pattern
1. Crown
(Knit in a spiral, without closing each round)
- Magic ring.
- V1: 6 sc.
- V2: 2 sc in each stitch (12).
- V3: 1 sc, 1 inc repeat (18).
- V4: 2 sc, 1 inc (24).
- V5: 3 sc, 1 inc (30).
- Continue increasing following the pattern ( 1 more sc between increases per round ) until you reach:
- 17 cm diameter (female)
- 18.5 cm diameter (male)
👉 If you prefer a more rounded shape, stop 0.5–1 cm before.
2. Body (straight part)
- Knit 1 round taking only the back loop to mark the transition.
- Then work in hdc (or sc if you prefer a denser texture), without increasing, until you reach:
- 8–9 cm tall (female)
- 9–10 cm tall (male)
👉 The mpa gives a modern texture, with soft lines and a touch of elasticity.
3. Wing
Return to knitting in the round and begin to increase:
- V1: 4 sc, 1 inc repeat.
- V2: 5 sc, 1 inc repeat.
- V3: 6 sc, 1 inc repeat.
- Continue according to the thickness of the thread until the wing measures between 6–8 cm (women) or 7–9 cm (men) .
👉 To reinforce the edge:
- Knit the last 2 rows in sc .
- Close with 1 round of slip stitch (sl st) to give structure.
4. Finish
- Cut the thread leaving about 15 cm, close with sl st and hide the thread with a wool needle.
- If using cotton or linen, steam block to shape.

Idealium Tips
- For a minimalist style: choose natural colors (raw, sand, olive, light gray).
- For a modern twist, weave a band of another color into the body or edge of the wing to create visual contrast.
- If you're using a soft fiber, insert a piece of fishing line or thin cord into the last loop of the wing to maintain its shape.
- You can replace the dc stitch with a centered single crochet for a more structured braided effect.

A modern, comfortable and timeless bucket hat , with soft lines and firm texture.
