Step by step: how to knit the triple crochet
- Make three loops on the hook.
- Insert the needle into the next stitch and yarn over again.
- Bring the yarn through the stitch → you will have 5 loops on the needle .
- Take yarn and pass it through the first two rings → there are 4 left on the needle.
- Take yarn and pass it through the next 2 rings → there are 3 left on the needle.
- Take yarn and pass it through the next 2 rings → there are 2 left on the needle.
- Take the thread one last time and pass it through the remaining 2 rings.
- You have knitted a triple crochet stitch !
Practice the triple crochet
- Cast on 10 chains.
- Make 5 chain stitches in height (they replace the first stitch).
- Knit 9 triple crochet stitches.
- Turn the work, chain 5 again in height and knit another 9 triple crochet stitches.
- Repeat until you reach 10 laps.
