Material
- 3 balls Fluffy
- Knitting needles no. 4
- Wool needle
- 6 buttons
Pattern
Garter stitch: All rows are knit.
The first stitch is passed without knitting (except in the first row after casting on the stitches, which is knitted).
The number of points obtained in the row is indicated in parentheses at each step.
BODY
The instructions are accompanied by diagram 1.
- Cast on 22 stitches (or depending on the tension, to obtain 24 cm of fabric)
- Knit in garter stitch until reaching 16 cm.
- To make the armhole, in the next row: we pass the first stitch without knitting, we close 2 stitches, we knit the rest of the row in garter stitch (20p)
- In the next row (row round C), we repeat the steps of the previous row: we slip the first stitch without knitting, we cast off 2 stitches, we knit the rest of the row in garter stitch (18 sts).
- We knit in garter stitch until we obtain 9.5 cm.
- To open the neck, we close the 8 central stitches as follows: knit 5 stitches, close 8 stitches, knit the remaining 5 stitches.
- From now on, we will continue knitting only the section of fabric with the 5 stitches left at the tip of the needle. We leave the 5 stitches at the other end at the end of the needle without doing anything with them until step L. We knit in garter stitch for 5 cm.
- Knit 1 row inwards (towards the neck) and when you reach the end, cast on 4 stitches (9p).
- Knit 9.5 cm to reach the front armhole.
- Knit a row towards the outside of the jacket and cast on 2 stitches for the armhole (11 sts). Knit 16 cm.
- Close the stitches.
- We recover the stitches that we set aside in step G. We knit 5 cm (5p).
- Repeat step H.
- Knit 9.5 cm until reaching the armhole, but in this section we begin to make the buttonholes.
Distance between buttonholes: Make the first buttonhole every 3 cm. From the first buttonhole, make the next ones every 4 cm. You will get 6 buttonholes in total. In this 9.5 cm section you will have made 2 buttonholes. See diagram 2.
How to make a buttonhole: from the inner edge, knit 2 stitches and then for the buttonhole, knit 2 stitches together, cast on a new stitch on the needle and continue knitting the row. The total number of stitches in the row does not change. - Repeat step J but adding the buttonholes every 4 cm.
- Close the stitches.
SLEEVES (X2)
1. Pick up stitches for sleeves between armholes, from point A (see diagram 3) to point B.
To pick up stitches, insert the needle into point A, cast on the needle, draw the needle towards you, we find a cast on stitch on the needle. Pick up a stitch at each knot up to point B.
2. Section with decreases. Knit in garter stitch for 12 cm, making a decrease row every 4 cm. In total, make 3 decrease rows (see diagram 3).
Decrease rows: Skip the first stitch without knitting, knit 2 stitches together, continue knitting each stitch until the last 3 stitches remain; knit 2 stitches together, knit the last stitch normally.
3. Straight section. Knit 8 cm in garter stitch. Bind off the stitches.
HOOD
- We pick up the stitches around the neck, from point A to point B (see diagram 4).
- Knit 20 cm in garter stitch.
- Close the stitches.
- Fold the fabric at point C (see diagram 4) to join corners D and E to form the hood. Sew.
SEWING
Sew the sides of the jacket and sleeves.
Sew the buttons on the opposite side of the buttonholes.
And that's it!
