Half double crochet
Share
The half double crochet (also known as pm ) is one of the basic crochet stitches. It lies between the single crochet and the double crochet, offering an intermediate height and a slightly more flexible knit than the single crochet, but tighter than the double crochet.
It is a very versatile knit, perfect for scarves, blankets, garments and accessories.
Step by step: how to knit the half double crochet
- Grab yarn with the crochet hook.
- Insert the needle into the next stitch on the row and yarn over again.
- Pull the needle towards you through the stitch: you will now have 3 rings on the needle.
- Take the thread again.
- Pass the thread through all 3 rings at the same time.
- You have one ring left on your needle : you have knitted a half stitch!
