The double crochet stitch (also called the treble crochet ) is one of the most commonly used stitches in crochet. It's taller than the single crochet and half double crochet, allowing you to work faster and create a more drapey, lightweight fabric.
Step by step: how to knit the double crochet
- Grab yarn with the crochet hook.
- Insert the needle into the next stitch and yarn over again.
- Pull the needle out towards you: you will have 3 rings on the needle .
- Take yarn and pass it through the first two rings → there are 2 left on the needle.
- Take the thread again and pass it through the two remaining rings.
- You have one ring left on your needle : you have knitted a double crochet stitch!
💡 Tip: Keep tension even so all the high points are the same height.
