Lolo the dog crochet purse pattern (includes video tutorial)
In this post from the Academy you can learn how to crochet the pattern for this original " Lolo, the dog " purse , a design by María Atelier.
The dimensions of the purse are 12 cm wide x 6 cm high, not including the dog's ears.
- 1 ball of Rubi Natural pink
- 1 ball of black Rubi Natural
- 1 ball Rubi Natural Medium beige
- Crochet hook #3.5 mm (or the size needed to adjust it to your tension)
- 1 wooden button
- 12 or 14 cm zipper.
- Synthetic filling
- Wool needle
- Sewing needle
- Sewing thread
- Scissors
- Lap marker

sc = Single crochet
pr = slip stitch
pbt = Single crochet taking the back loop
p.ma. = Half high stitch
pa = High point
cad. = Chain stitch

1. Read the pattern carefully before you start knitting it.
2. Knit each of the pieces as indicated in the pattern.
3. Sew, stuff or embroider the pieces as indicated.

Purse base (Knit in beige)
Round 1: Crochet a magic thread of 6 sc (6 sts.)
Round 2: Crochet 1 inc. in all sts (12 sts.)
Round 3: (1 sc + 1 inc.) x 6 (18 sts.)
Round 4: (2 sc + 1 inc.) x 6 (24 sts.)
Round 5: (3 sc + 1 inc.) x 6 (30 sts.)
Round 6: (4 sc + 1 inc.) x 6 (36 sts.)
Round 7: (5 sc + 1 inc.) x 6 (42 sts.)
Round 8: (6 sc + 1 inc.) x 6 (48 sts.)
Round 9 – 17: Crochet 1 sc in each stitch (48 sts.)
Round 18: Knit 1 sl st in each st (48).
Close and finish.
Eye Patch (Knit one in brown)
Round 1: Crochet a magic thread of 6 sc (6 sts.)
Round 2: Crochet 1 inc. in all sts (12 sts.)
Close and finish off, leaving a long tail to sew to the base of the purse.
Snout (Knit in beige)
Round 1: Crochet a magic thread of 6 sc (6 sts.)
Round 2: Crochet 1 inc. in all sts (12 sts.)
Round 3: (3 sc + 3 inc.) x2 (18 sts.)
Round 4-5: Knit 1 sc per st (18 sts.)
Close and finish off, leaving a long tail to sew to the base of the purse.
Ears x 2 (Knit 1 in beige 002 and another in brown 003)
Round 1: Crochet a magic thread of 6 sc (6 sts.)
Round 2: Crochet 1 inc. in all sts (12 sts.)
Round 3 – 10: Crochet 1 sc in each st. (12 sts.)
Round 11: (4 sc + 1 dec.) x 2 (10 sts.)
Fold and crochet a 1 sc, fasten off and leave a long tail to sew to the base of the purse.
Mounting:
1. Sew the zipper
2. Sew the ears centered on one side of the base, 5 stitches apart. The brown ear on the left and the beige one on the right.
3. Sew the eye patch centered under the beige ear (right side) between round 12 and 16
4. Embroider the eyes in black between row 12 and 13 with a separation of 8 sts. counting from the patch
5. Sew the centered snout with the eyes and patch, stuff it a little with synthetic stuffing and embroider the nose in pink.
6. Embroider the pink blush on the sides of the eyes.
